Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (
UBHC), established in 1971, offers a full continuum of evidence based behavioral health and addiction services for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors throughout New Jersey. UBHC's 1,060 experienced behavioral health professionals and support staff are dedicated to treatment, prevention, and education.
UBHC, one of the largest providers of behavioral health care in the country, has a budget of $260 million and has 15 sites throughout New Jersey. Services are readily accessible and include: inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, screening, crisis stabilization, family/caregiver support, community outreach and case management, supportive housing, supported employment, prevention and consultation, employee assistance programs, and a licensed therapeutic school from preschool through high school. Specialty services include the New Jersey suicide prevention helpline and peer help lines for police, veterans, active military, teachers, mothers of special needs children and child protective service workers.
In FY2016,
UBHC treated 16,199 consumers, had 24,502 admissions, and touched the lives of 19,441 individual callers through peer support. In addition,
UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year. |

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Access Center within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
Supervises all the day-to-day aspects of the New York State United Teacher (
NYSUT) program, represents
NYSUT at events and act as the liaison to funding agencies collaborating agencies, and referrals sources as needed and/or required by this position. Supervises the activities and staff of the
NYSUT program serving the members of the New York State United Teachers. Ensures the quality of the telephone-based counseling and crisis interventions are provided. Ensures compliance with relevant funding agency and regulatory agency requirements.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Participates as a key member of the management team and is responsible for overseeing, managing and preparing documentation needed by the program and National Call Center leadership.
- Oversees the day-to-day operation of NYSUT peer line to ensure all calls are being answered in a timely manner and that staff are responding in accordance to established departmental protocol.
- Supervises staff as assigned.
- Develops and supports marketing of the NYSUT peer line services.
- Oversees, manages and prepares paperwork and documentation needed by UBHC and external funding agencies and the Federal Government
- Serves as liaison within the collaborating agencies, external funding sources, and other departments within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Master's Degree in a mental health discipline plus four (4) years of post-masters experience in a behavioral health field.

- Applicants possessing a degree in Social Work must have an active New York license as required by New York State.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Psychologist required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license or alternate means of transportation.
