Overview

Illinois CancerCare is seeking a part-time Shuttle Driver to join our team! The Shuttle Driver provides safe, friendly transportation for patients and their families to and from their vehicles at the Peoria location of Illinois CancerCare. This role supports a positive patient experience by offering reliable assistance and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Schedule: Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Shuttle patients and their families to and from their vehicles in the Peoria location of ILCC.
  • Maintain a neat and tidy shuttle free of clutter and garbage.
  • Wash windows in the shuttle as needed, inside and out.
  • Pull the shuttle inside the garage and plug the shuttle into the charging cords at the end of each shift.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Must possess a valid Illinois Driver's License with a good driving record

Special Physical Requirements

Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to assist patients into and out of the shuttle cart.

  • Outdoor working conditions.
  • May be exposed to communicable diseases and other conditions.
  • Safety policies and good health practices are to be understood and observed.
  • Work is performed in an environment with frequent contact with patients and families.
  • Contact may involve dealing with angry and/or upset people.
