Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent and 5 years of professional experience |
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, Educational Technology, Public Health, Higher Education, or closely related field.
- Five (5)+ years professional experience designing, building, and supporting online courses in a modern LMS (preferably D2L Brightspace/eLC).
- Demonstrated expertise in backward design, outcomes-assessment alignment, rubrics, accessibility/UDL.
- Foundational experience with SoTL or systematic course-level assessment (e.g., data collection/analysis, action research, or program evaluation in teaching/learning contexts).
- Advanced eLC/D2L proficiency (Question Library at scale, HTML content templates, Release Conditions, Groups, Grade Schemes).

| Position Summary |
The Lead Instructional Designer serves as the main consultative expert on teaching and learning in eLC (D2L Brightspace) for the College of Public Health. The role partners with faculty from course concept to delivery; ensures accessibility and quality; and contributes to the science of teaching and learning (SoTL) efforts focused on online/public-health pedagogy. |
