Vaco is hiring a Senior Insurance Business Analyst for a direct hire opportunity with our client located in downtown Cincinnati, OH.
This role offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with 2 days onsite and 3 days remote each week.
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance knowledge, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements and business initiatives.

Important: This is a direct hire position. Visa sponsorship or transfer is not available for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, facilitating communication on requirements, system changes, and project updates.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements to support development and system enhancements.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for development teams.
  • Create mockups and screen designs for new or enhanced system functionality.
  • Present project status and updates during bi-weekly meetings with business users and stakeholders.
  • Lead or support small to moderately complex projects within the organization.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of policy administration systems.
  • Work with internal teams and external vendors to support system enhancements and integrations.
  • Analyze and query data using SQL and data warehouse tools to support business analysis.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and manage work items within Rally or Jira.
  • Identify opportunities to research, develop, and implement AI-driven processes to improve business analyst workflows and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry knowledge.
  • Experience working in an IT environment in a Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with a professional presence.
  • Experience working with SQL and data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and system integrations.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience using Rally or Jira.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
