Controller - Job Description Position Overview The Controller will lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a fast-growingtechnology company. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience in a technology or high-growth environment, and the ability to partner with leadership across the organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives. Provide financial analysis and insights to support business growth and operational decision-making. Monitor cash flow and assist in managing the company's financial performance. Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements. Evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting tools to increase efficiency and scalability. Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms. Experience working with Campfire SaaS technology strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments. Preferred Experience Experience in a technology, SaaS, or marketing technology environment. Experience with revenue recognition and subscription-based business models. Background supporting a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
