Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Writer / Product Owner for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Irving, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. In this role, you will consult on complex initiatives, contributing to the resolution of multi-faceted software engineering challenges. The ideal candidate will own and define the end-to-end documentation strategy for assigned product areas, translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation within an Agile environment. Responsibilities: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering Own and define the end-to-end documentation strategy for assigned product areas Create and maintain user guides, process documentation, FAQs, and content in Confluence and SharePoint Convert complex technical concepts into clear, concise, user-friendly documentation Work closely with Product Owners, Application Managers, Engineers, and Program Managers to gather requirements and validate technical accuracy Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines Act as an advocate for the customer or end user Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 7+ years of technical writing and/or project management experience 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner or working closely witha Product Owner team Background in product development, product management, or Agile/Scrum environments Experience working with complex technical systems and API documentation Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence Ability to apply user-focused principles to tailor documentation to various audiences Desired skills: Industry/domain experience in Banking, Financial Services, or FinTech Experience supporting developer tools SCRUM certification or knowledge of PMBok (PMP, SDLC, etc.) Pay range: $70.00 - $79.00 per Hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
