What You'll Do

As a Senior Field Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering on Dyno Nobel solutions offerings. You will manage projects and document success of designs, applications, and/or product changes in the field. Other duties include:

• Develop and maintain customer relationships as a subject matter expert to provide recommendations for best practices and applications supported by measurement of key metrics.

• Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure Safe Act Observations, Job Safety Analyses, Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)

• Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.

• Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values.

• Manage individual project related expenses (materials & travel).

• Contribute to achieving budgeted customer profitability as measured by EBIT.

• Management of all company assets to assist with achieving Company goals.

• Conduct pre-blast surveys e.g. face profiles, borehole deviation measurements, blast geometry measurements, product sampling, safety audits, etc.

• Conduct blast performance measurements, e.g. digital high-speed video, vibration monitoring, velocity of detonation, dynamic pressure, etc.

• Conduct post blast assessments, etc. fragmentation measurement, time studies, volumetric measurements, blast reporting & documentation.

• Conduct time studies on personnel and equipment throughout an operation including: drill and blast operations, truck-shovel loading, dragline, processing, etc.

• Respond professionally and timely to address problems and business requests.

• Understand and enhance service requirements to continually improve customer profitability.

• Communicate effectively with all DynoConsult engineers and personnel.

• Candidate to write & appropriately document by writing appropriate reports to assure that projects are documented properly and archived.

What We're Looking For:

• Four-year degree in Mining, Geo-technical, Mineral, and/or Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering. Advanced Degree in Geo-technical, Civil Engineering, Computer Sciences, etc., or, equivalent time/experience in job with proven skills.

• Bachelor Degree and 7+ Years' Experience OR 20+ Years Industry related experience with progressively increasing professional responsibility with leading edge technology to achieve results

• Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese desired

• Experience in a blaster supervisory role preferred.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure customer environment.

• Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.

• Current MSHA (or ability to receive) certification for Part 46 and 48.

• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
