Description

The Management, Owners Advisory role is an experienced Owner's Advisor in the successful planning, execution, and completion of complex collaborative delivery projects by acting as a liaison between the project owner and various stakeholders. This role is client focused and will assist in ensuring that the project aligns with the owner's vision, goals, and objectives while adhering to budget, schedule, and quality standards. The role will help Owners select project delivery methods, attend market sounding and outreach, develop Request for Qualifications and Proposals, review responses, assist legal teams with contract documents and negotiations, review pricing proposals and oversee construction contracts performing risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies through start-up and commissioning.

Responsibilities



  • Provide assessments and guidance regarding client/owner organizational readiness and preparation for collaborative delivery understanding, planning, development, and execution.
  • Provide guidance and support in developing selection criteria and SOQ/proposal scoring criteria and approach.
  • Support owners/clients in the review of various designs and construction plans and approaches during the design and preconstruction phase of design-build and CMAR projects.
  • Support owners/clients in the review and validation of design-builder and CMGC/CMAR construction estimates and support guaranteed price negotiations on owner's behalf.
  • Provide guidance related to the merits of various project delivery methods and support procurement best practices as an advisor to owners.
  • Prepare and make presentations to clients related to best practices for collaborative delivery (design-build in its various methodologies and CMGC/CMAR) implementation.
  • Develop, customize and QC RFQ and RFP documents for procurement activities using various collaborative delivery methods.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts effectively while adhering to organizational norms.
  • Guide owners/clients in design-builder contract compliance and services during construction.
  • Analyze and manage project risks, developing and implementing effective risk mitigation and management strategies.
  • Utilize and build upon comprehensive knowledge and industry expertise to evaluate and provide recommendations for clients.
  • Plan and schedule projects strategically, including developing and implementing project or program strategies, and monitoring progress.
  • Support project planning and scheduling, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.


Mentorship



  • Provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.


Skills and Competencies



  • Strong knowledge of complex project/program management techniques.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Skilled in contract management and negotiations on large and complex projects.
  • Advanced skills in project delivery in the Municipal and private sector, preferably in water and wastewater.
  • Ability to develop strategic implementation plans and manage procurement documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and the ability to multi-task.


Experience



  • Typically, a minimum of 15 years of experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience managing large complex projects.
  • Experience leading a team implementing collaborative delivery methods and best practices.
  • Experience in contract management and negotiation.


Education



  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Management, or related field or equivalent experience is required.


Salary Range: Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Salary: $160,000 - $215,000
