Job Title: Registered Nurse Location: Selinsgrove, PA 17870 Duration: long term Shift: 10:15 PM - 06;15 PM) Role & Responsibilities: Collaborate regularly with the Chief Nurse Executive, Nurse Manager I, and other supervisors to ensure continuity of care and effective supervision. Serve as a resource and support person for nursing staff, nursing administration, interdisciplinary team members, and consumer support services. Provide direct clinical supervision and leadership by planning, directing, controlling, and evaluating the delivery of patient care across multiple care areas. Continuously monitor and review all phases of nursing services through daily on-site presence. Act as a patient/consumer advocate, ensuring individuals receive appropriate and active treatment. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for both patients and staff. Participate in and monitor staff development programs, including ongoing training and education. Provide orientation, education, and on-the-job training for both professional and non-professional nursing personnel. Ensure adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care. Participate in Nursing Quality Performance Improvement (PI) and Hospital PI activities, as well as nursing and facility committees. Utilize therapeutic communication techniques when interacting with patients and staff. Maintain daily communication with patients and hospital staff to support effective care coordination. Maintain records, prepare reports, and ensure proper documentation. Conduct employee evaluations and competency assessments for nursing staff. Assist with lifting and positioning patients when required. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders. Transcribe physician orders when necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned to support patient care and nursing operations. Requirements: 3 years as a registered nurse or 4 years of profession nursing experience providing care and treatment service consistent with those needed for individuals with mental or physical injury or illness and/or developmental disability. RN License from Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing;. BLS/CPR.
