Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Join a dynamic, mission-driven neurology research team. We investigate the mechanisms of delirium-an acute disorder of attention and awareness affecting nearly 1 in 5 older hospitalized adults. Our goal is to improve diagnosis, prediction, and outcomes through innovative clinical research and cutting edge technology development. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Study Coordinator who is excited to work at the intersection of clinical care, neuroscience, and emerging digital health tools. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in clinical research-perfect for those considering medical school, graduate school, or a long-term career in research. As a core member of our team, you will: Recruit and engage study participants within the hospital setting Perform in-person and remote cognitive evaluations Collaborate with healthcare providers and communicate with participant families Collect, process, and manage biospecimens Assist with data analyses Contribute to the development of wearable and AI based tools for detecting delirium We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced clinical research environment, values both compassionate patient interaction and scientific rigor, and can work both in a team and independently. A 2 year commitment is strongly preferred to allow for full immersion, skill development, and project continuity. This position supports an in-person clinical research study with hospitalized patients and therefore requires on-site presence and occasional weekend shifts to support our research participants fully. If you are passionate about improving patient outcomes, eager to gain hands-on clinical and research experience, and motivated to contribute to innovative neurology research, we would love to hear from you Job Summary: Coordinates collection, analysis, processing & reporting of data & assists Principal Investigator (PI) in judging the validity of test data obtained in regard to biomedical &/or social-behavioral research study(ies) of limited complexity involving co-investigators, multiple campuses &/or universities. Completes all activities by strictly following Good Clinical Practices (GCP) & all relevant current local, state, & federal laws, regulations, guidance, policy & procedure developed by the NU Institutional Review Board (IRB), Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), & the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH). Please note: Supervisor provides objectives, deadlines and specific instructions only for new, difficult, and/or unusual work. Work is reviewed upon completion and only occasionally to verify technical accuracy and compliance with practice, policy, and procedures.
