Unlicensed, Masters-Level EAP Specialist - Remote in California

The EAP Specialist is responsible for taking inbound calls to provide telephonic assessment and solution focused consultation to clients calling regarding their behavioral health benefits. In addition to assessment and triage, the successful candidate will engage in short-term problem resolution, authorization and referrals for routine and crisis callers.

** This is an unlicensed position requiring a masters degree master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field. Licensed clinicians cannot be considered. **

The schedule is Sunday - Thursday 7AM - 3PM PST. Premium pay is offered for working evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls for EAP and Behavioral Health
• Assessment and triage, short-term problem resolution, authorization and referrals for routine and crisis callers
• Provide solution focused consultation to assist member with issue resolution
• Determine member eligibility and benefit coverage and triage as appropriate
• Update and enter clinical notes in care management database

Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• 3+ years of clinical experience, post-master's degree
• 2+ years of experience using Windows PC applications, including the ability to type and navigate multiple systems while using multiple screens
• Reside in California

Preferred Qualifications:

• CEAP (or eligible to obtain)
• Call Center experience
• Experience supporting an Employee Assistance Program
