Description and Requirements

Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Team Lead)

Responsible for leading a team of engineers and overseeing overall process management for Node and Server subassemblies. Key responsibilities include supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes for Nodes, JBODs, server mechanical rack builds, server cabling, and final product packaging.

This role requires strong leadership in process development, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and lead Kaizen activities to improve productivity, quality, and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers.

Oversee manufacturing processes for:

Nodes

JBOD systems

Server mechanical rack builds

Server cabling

Final product packaging

Drive process improvements through Lean manufacturing principles (Kaizen, motion analysis, waste reduction, etc.).

Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop process templates, strategy documents, and operational standards.

Create and deliver presentations and reports for leadership using PowerPoint and other tools.

Support production needs including overtime and weekend work when required.

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and engineering teams to ensure efficient production flow.
