Overview

This position is responsible for working with Senior leaders to assist with identifying relevant forces and trends in healthcare, for anticipating their impact on the organization, and for managing the proper response from the Patient Services organization. The individual will also act as a liaison between Division of Nursing/Patient Services. This individual will help shape the System Resource Support Unit (Patient Services Operations Center, PSOC, enterprise, and be charged with promoting an operation and culture that focuses on patient- and family -centered care.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Staffing Operations (Goals)
    • 1.1 Advances the CSO throughout DNs
  • 2. Staffing Operations (Standards)
    • 2.1 Works to assure processes are standardized and streamlines across DNs
  • 3. Subcontractor Management
    • 3.1 Liaison for Affiliate Providers (initially nursing, potentially expanding to allied and non-clinical staff.) Works with Contract Manager and Credentialing to assure most cost effective healthcare professional fills positions
  • 4. Payroll
    • 4.1 Assures Kronos Time & Attendance payroll for internal staff is completed

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Master's degree is required (Minimum of Bachelors in nursing.)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum five years in Healthcare Staffing Industry preferred, to include progression from staffing coordinator/manager, payroll manager with gross margin/gross profit experience, affiliate provider management, VMS/MSP and Operations Manager. Ability to manage DN staffing processes, including experience across DNs within a health system preferred. Bed planning experience a plus.

LICENSURE

Current CT state RN licensure and/or eligibility for CT state RN licensure required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Excellent customer service skills; ability to organize, prioritize and multi task in a high volume, fast paced environment; detailed data entry skills; ability to handle heavy telephone activity and clinical staffing activities, ability to adapt to rapid changes. Ability to direct a diverse work force in a 24 hour per day operational environment. Passion for leading others in a challenging and changing environment by utilizing innovation, technology, and best practices.


Additional Information

This role includes on call responsibilities and travel between 3 delivery networks (GH/BH/YNHH). Weekend and Holidays are included. Days, Evenings, and Nights are included.
