This is a highvisibility, critical role within the Systems Protection Finance group, focused on coordinated supply chain efforts and financial processes. The role supports the Annual Operating Plan, quarterly forecasts, efficiency, cost control initiatives, inventory management, while also contributing to leadership communications. This position is key in driving predictability, accountability, and insights across the Systems Protection segment and in partnering closely with enterprise functional leaders and finance teams.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Serve as the finance partner to global sourcing teams, supporting the endtoend development of annual operating plans for Raw Materials, including process flow, scenario modeling, financial consolidation, and variance analysis.

  • Lead the analysis of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) and Material Usage Variance (MUV), and partner with sourcing to translate market dynamics into actionable strategies that protect margins and optimize working capital.

  • Support the monthly close process, analyze results, and maintain a standard reporting package to communicate performance, key conclusions, and improvement opportunities to business partners and leadership.

  • Lead standard material cost summary / inputs and stakeholder alignment across manufacturing plants, drive accurate forecasting and market analysis to identify financial risks and opportunities.

  • Track and analyze financial performance against plan, forecast, and prior year, identifying root causes of variances and partnering with the right teams to develop countermeasures.

  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, finding opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness using Lean tools.

  • Support broader financial accountability initiatives, including CAPEX investment lifecycle support, postinvestment ROI audits, and other activities such as cycle counting, fixed asset audits, costtoserve modeling, make or buy analysis, and data governance.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree required.

  • 4+ years of progressive finance experience within a global manufacturing environment. Direct experience with Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) is a plus.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and International Accounting Standards (IAS).

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. OneStream, JD Edwards, SAP, M3, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, and Sievo are preferred.

  • Able to communicate effectively and build strong relationships across all organizational levels while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Flexible, organized, and accountable, with a strong work ethic and the ability to perform accurately under time constraints and timelines.

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
