Shift: 1st shift with small potential for travel

Duration: Direct Hire

Salary: $ $115,000 annually with full benefits plus relocation

Summary

  • Seeking an experienced Senior Welding Engineer to support advanced aerospace manufacturing operations.
  • This role will focus on developing and optimizing welding processes for high-temperature nickel-based alloys used in critical aerospace components.


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and approve welding and brazing procedures for production.
  • Troubleshoot welding and vacuum brazing issues in manufacturing.
  • Validate welding processes through metallurgical analysis and testing.
  • Support new product introduction with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Lead process improvements to increase yield and equipment uptime.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on welding, heat treatment, and inspection.
  • Support testing programs including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field.
  • 7+ years of welding engineering experience in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) / TIG and Orbital Welding.
  • Experience with nickel-based superalloys such as Inconel.
  • Knowledge of vacuum brazing processes and welding variables.
  • Familiarity with NDT inspection methods.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Electron Beam Welding.
  • Metallurgical testing and analysis experience.
