Job Description

The Industrial Engineer will support semiconductor manufacturing operations by developing and maintaining factory performance models, identifying capacity constraints, and driving improvements in cycle time and throughput.This role partners closely with manufacturing, process engineering, equipment maintenance, and planning teams to ensure factory resources are effectively utilized to meet production targets and long-term business objectives.The successful candidate will apply Industrial Engineering principles to analyze manufacturing performance, support capacity planning, and implement operational improvements that enhance factory efficiency and output.

  • You can develop, maintain, and improve factory capacity models to support short-term production planning and long-range manufacturing strategy.
  • You can analyze factory loading, utilization, and bottlenecks to ensure optimal use of manufacturing resources.
  • You can perform cycle time analysis and modeling to identify improvement opportunities and support operational decision-making.
  • You can monitor and report key factory performance metrics, including throughput, utilization, availability, and work-in-process levels.
  • You can support line balancing and dispatching strategies to improve flow and reduce cycle time.
  • You can identify capacity constraints and collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to implement solutions such as tool installations, process improvements, or operational changes.
  • You can provide analytical support for capital planning and equipment capacity requirements.
  • You can partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on factory productivity and efficiency.
  • You can develop clear analyses and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to operations leadership.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor fabrication facility in Industrial Engineering, manufacturing engineering, or factory operations support.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab operations.
  • Demonstrated experience with capacity planning, cycle time analysis, factory performance metrics, and bottleneck management.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and engineering analysis tools used to evaluate manufacturing performance.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, process engineering, and production planning teams.
  • Preferred Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Preferred experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) such as PROMIS or similar fab systems.
  • Preferred experience with factory simulation, tool modeling, or capacity planning tools.
  • Preferred familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, and advanced scheduling/dispatching methodologies.
  • Preferred experience supporting high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environments.
