POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The Sales Floor Lead reports to the Store Manager
  • Located in Fountain Valley
  • Full-Time
  • In Office



As a Sales Floor Lead, you will leverage your extensive retail experience to take on a leadership role within our customer service and sales functions. This position requires a proactive and collaborative approach to drive successful transactions, resolve customer inquiries, and maintain a positive shopping experience. With 3-4 years of experience, you will lead by example, guide the team, and contribute to the continual improvement of our retail operations.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Customer Engagement and Assistance:



  • Lead and actively engage professional chefs, restaurant owners, and cooking enthusiasts with their purchases at the counter.
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with vendors and customers to facilitate special orders.


Issue Resolution and Team Leadership:



  • Take a leadership role in resolving complex customer complaints promptly and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.


Independent Work and Initiative:



  • Work independently and demonstrate initiative, setting a standard for the team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales and customer service processes.


Transaction Handling and Reporting:



  • Bag purchases to ensure safe transport.
  • Handle transactions, ensuring accuracy in prices and quantities, and provide receipts to every customer.
  • Assist in balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.


Clean Workspace and Organization:



  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to enhance the shopping environment.
  • Oversee the organization of merchandise displays and promotional materials.
  • Customer Interaction and Relationship Building:
  • Actively engage with customers, build relationships, and occasionally visit them to strengthen connections.


Skills and Attributes:



  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Energetic personality with a customer-focused approach.
  • Foodservice industry experience is a plus.


Multi-Tasking and Learning:



  • Ability to multitask efficiently and contribute your experience to enhance team performance.
  • Facilitate the learning and development of junior team members.

  • Proven ability to lead a customer-focused team and drive exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset in all interactions and transactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.

  • Take initiative in setting an example for independent work and proactive problem-solving.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 3 - 4 years of experience in retail customer service and business-to-business sales, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • Previous cashier and customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.


In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
