Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Document Control Administration Support to support our Colorado Springs, CO production manufacturing facility, as part of the company's Acusil program.

The Acusil production department manufactures thermal protection materials for civil and military applications, and the customers we support are large and small Aerospace companies. The materials are engineered, molded, cured, machined to print, and bonded to customer-supplied artifacts. Our team delivers strong customer satisfaction through rigorous application of Quality Assurance processes, ensuring the highest product quality while maintaining strict delivery schedules.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the QA Process Supervisor in creating best practices and procedures for Document Control and maintaining all documents and records comprising the program's ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System (QMS). This role involves generating, proofreading, and formatting various technical reports, presentations, procedures, and office correspondence. It is expected that this role will directly manage at least one employee.

Responsibilities of the position:

    Supports program record-keeping and document management using a document control system.
  • Performs accurate data entry into internal systems and databases.
  • Reviews documents for quality, accuracy, completeness and compliance with document control standards.
  • Processes project documents including but not limited to, scanning, uploading and completing the applicable metadata into the applicable document repository, routing and distribution, hard copy document filing and fulfillment of document retrieval requests, according to established procedures.
  • Processes and maintains project documents and update master copies of drawings/specifications logs/binders and implement document control procedures.
  • Prints, assembles, maintains, and distributes documents necessary to define product configuration and control technical processes that ensure conformance to customer requirements.
  • Properly dispose of confidential or obsolete documents following company policies.
  • Maintains a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center.
  • Collects and maintains files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration and control technical or manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure timely distribution of latest revision level documentation to appropriate users and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
  • Maintains a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents.
  • Performs clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary
  • Assists with document retrieval and audits when requested
  • Assists Quality Inspectors with receiving and/or inspections as needed
  • Assists with basic equipment duties including, but not limited to, calibration, maintenance, data entry, and documentation in accordance with established procedures and systems.
  • Follows document retention, confidentiality, and security guidelines
  • Performs job in accordance with document control practices.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • One or more years of customer service or clerical experience.
  • One or more years of experience using Microsoft office.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., typing, file navigation, email)
  • Must be a US citizen

Target Salary Range

$30,000 - $48,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
