- Integrated Master Schedule
- Serve as the lead scheduler for contractor activities, managing the integrated master schedule across development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Align all scheduling deliverables and requirements, including coding structures, WBS/OBS alignment, calendars, datadate rules, progress measurement methods, and reporting formats.
- Ensure schedule logic, sequencing, and deliverables remain consistent across all schedule owners (prime, EPC, vendor, and construction schedules).
- Schedule Updates, Progress Integration & Forecasting
- Maintain and update baseline and forecast schedules throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating physical percent complete, field progress, discipline reporting for engineering/procurement/construction, Project Manager updates, and approved change actions.
- Facilitate timely and accurate status collection by coordinating with discipline leads and peer schedulers, ensuring consistent progress methodologies.
- CrossScheduler & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate daily scheduling interfaces among the prime/owner scheduler, subcontractor and vendor schedulers, and internal functional teams.
- Lead or support alignment sessions to reconcile interfaces, constraints, milestone ownership, and handoffs (engineering deliverables, procurement needby dates, construction work packaging, commissioning turnover).
- Represent the subcontractor scheduling function in project reviews, coordination meetings, and stakeholder working sessions.
- Provide the project management team with schedule and cost performance index metrics.
- Schedule Quality, Compliance & Governance
- Adhere to company and prime/owner scheduling standards and support consistent application across all participating contractors.
- Perform detailed schedule quality checks, including logic integrity, constraint use, criticalpath validity, missing links, lag analysis, calendar consistency, and coding completeness.
- Support governance requirements through development of schedule narratives, traceability of schedule changes, and preparation of auditready documentation.
- Analysis, Risk Identification & Decision Support
- Interpret schedule performance and communicate risks, trends, and recovery options to the Project Manager and key stakeholders.
- Conduct criticalpath and nearcriticalpath analyses, identify schedule drivers, evaluate logicbased solutions, and develop "whatif" scenarios as needed.
- Deliver schedule variance analyses and performance metrics to support project controls and leadership decisionmaking.
- Cost/Schedule Integration & Earned Value Support (as required)
- Costload schedule activities and support development and maintenance of the performance measurement baseline integrated with the project cost system.
- Establish and maintain rules of credit and progress measurement methods to support earned value and performance reporting.
- Coordinate with the Project Cost Controller and project controls team to ensure alignment between schedule status and cost/reporting systems.
- Vendor/Subcontractor Schedule Integration
- Review vendor and subcontractor schedules for compliance with prime/owner requirements and readiness for integration.
- Validate interface milestones, procurement lead times, fabrication and delivery dates, and construction needby dates to ensure alignment with the integrated master schedule.
- Support resolution of schedule conflicts and discrepancies across contractor schedules.
- Reporting & Deliverables
- Produce required schedule deliverables-including updates, narratives, lookahead schedules, interface milestone trackers, variance reports, and dashboard inputs-in accordance with prime/owner cadence and standards.
- Collaborate with the Field Controls Analyst to generate weekly construction reporting and ensure accurate reflection of field progress in the schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field of study is required.
- Eight (8) years or more of experience with project scheduling on large capital industrial projects is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including strong knowledge of CPM methodologies and proven experience reviewing and validating contractor schedules, is required.
- Must be able to successfully pass background checks required for access to Department of Energy, federal, and military facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in clientfacing settings, including presenting schedule status, forecasts, risks, and recovery strategies to client/owner representatives and senior leadership.
- Proven problemsolving skills in complex project environments, with experience leading crossfunctional efforts to resolve schedule risks, interface conflicts, and execution constraints.
- Experience providing functional leadership by driving scheduling initiatives across multiproject programs.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate project activities to consistently meet deadlines.
Other Details:
- This role will report regularly in-person to Idaho Falls, ID.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and remain in good standing in accordance with company driving policy.
- Must be willing and able to travel to and/or work from national project sites and client locations; may include longer days and weekend work as needed for project support.
