Job Overview: Our Endoscopy Unit supports two admission areas, three pre-opaareas, four PACU beds, and has three procedure rooms. As a per diem, you will support coverage as needed.a This per diem role does not require on-call shifts.a

Qualifications:

• Active New JerseyaRN License or approved RN license required
• ASN or BSN required
• AHA BLS prior to start date required
• Minimum 1+ YOE in Endoscopy required

Essential Functions: As a per diem Endoscopy Nurse, your primary responsibilities include ensuring a high standard of nursing care to patients attending the Endoscopy Unit, providing technical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe working practice, and setting, monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of nursing care. Maintaining personal contact with patients and relatives, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy and ensuring a friendly environment at all times are expected. Working with minimal supervision during endoscopic procedures, admission and recovery of patients and other related procedures while participating in the care and maintenance of endoscopes and other specialized equipment is part of the role. Ensuring the safe discharge of all patients from the Endoscopy unit and maintaining a safe and clean environment within the clinical area in accordance with established standards and regulations is required.
