The Commercial AI Net Revenue Lead role sits at the center of this effort, serving as a trusted thought partner across finance, product, and leadership teams.

We'rehiring aGroupFinance Manager to lead Commercial AI Net Revenue reporting and analytics. This role is a Central FP&A leadership position for AI, responsible for endtoend net revenue insights, external momentum metrics reporting, and strategic analysis that informs how Microsoft monetizes AI at scale.This role partners directly with Central Finance Team (CFT), COGS, Investor Relations, and Commercial Product teams to deliver highimpact insights on AI performance, competitive positioning, and longterm platform opportunities such as pullthrough, competitive benchmarking, and ecosystem monetization.

The ideal candidate brings analytical capabilities, sound business judgment, and the ability to translate complex data into meaningful narratives for senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities
AI Revenue Performance & Strategic Finance
  • Lead endtoend Commercial AI net revenue reporting, ensuring clear,accurate, and consistent views across products, platforms, and gotomarket motions.

  • Own the financial narrative for AI net revenue performance, partnering with CFT, COGS, and commercial product finance teams toalign ondrivers, assumptions, and outcomes.

  • Drive monthly close, quarterly outlook, and longterm planningprocesses andinsights for Commercial AI, delivering executiveready commentary and analysis.

  • Lead AI external momentum metrics reporting in partnership with Investor Relations, ensuring strong alignment between internal performance views and external disclosures.

  • Lead strategic analyses to evaluate endtoend AI monetization opportunities, including platform pullthrough, competitive benchmarking, and ecosystem dynamics.

  • Serve as a trusted financepartner to senior leaders across Finance, Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams.

Protect

  • Ensurescompliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes.

  • Drives corrective measures. Consults with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies.

  • Collaborates with Compliance groups to ensure team is current on company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Required Qualification

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, revenue finance, controllership, or strategic finance OR equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning endtoend financial reporting, planning, and executivelevel analysis in a complex, multiproduct or matrixed environment
  • Cross group collaboration skills including the ability to comfortably communicate with executive management at Microsoft.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple inputs across many stakeholders, prioritizing the effort on main drivers.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves ata very fastpace.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker.

  • Ability to identify opportunities for the business to build and nurture relationships across finance and business partners to drive results and insights.

  • Show propensity for learning, anddemonstrateabilitytoidentify, analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions.

  • Executive level oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate complex analysis and models ina simple way.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the ability to synthesize insights from large datasets.

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
