Job Summary:
The MDU Account Executive role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new multiple dwelling (MDU) properties and new customer relationships through proactive, outbound, and relationship-based sales strategies. The individual will identify, develop and promote sales tactics aimed at expanding Midco's footprint within new properties, ownership groups, and management companies, maximizing product and service adoption and increasing revenue. This role will provide end-to-end sales cycle management including prospect identification and qualification, funnel and prospect management, sales forecasting, proposal generation and contract closure, with primary focus on new customer acquisition. This role can be filled in the Minneapolis metro area, or in the St. Joseph, MN area.
Responsibilities:
* Identify, prospect, and secure new MDU properties and new customer relationships to expand market presence and revenue.
* Maintain a structured new-business pipeline through consistent outbound prospecting, site visits, referrals, and market research.
* Regular internal cross-functional team meetings with construction, engineering, field technicians, sales fulfillment and others to ensure awareness of customer projects and planning prior to contract execution.
* Collaborate within and outside departments to find creative solutions to meet new customer needs.
* Possess a thorough understanding of prospective customers' businesses.
* Identify opportunities and create customized solutions from the selection of products for new clients.
* Prepare accurate estimates and contracts for customers.
* Achieve or exceed defined sales goals (monthly, quarterly, yearly, etc.)
* Accurately forecast opportunities and performance throughout the year. Utilize CRM and other systems as required.
* Develop and deliver professional sales presentations to MDU stakeholders up to C-Suite.
* Secure Right of Entry Agreements and bulk service agreements where applicable.
* Interpret and address competitive offers and produce innovative, successful counter offers.
* Coordinate with technical personnel to ensure consistency, quality, feasibility, and customer satisfaction prior to service delivery.
* Build and maintain strong relationships based on trust and mutual respect with potential customers and industry partners.
* Maintain current and accurate documentation for all sales contacts.
* Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco's "Use of Vehicle for Company Business" policy.
* Model Midco's mission, vision, values, ethos, and Leadership Success Drivers, and inspire others to do the same.
* Ensure customer privacy by adhering to Midco's privacy guidelines while actively following Midco policies and procedures.
* Maintain reliable and predictable attendance as required by the position.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
* Highschool Diploma/GED or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales in broadband/telecommunications.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in relevant field and/or an equivalent level of education or work experience.
* Previous experience selling to MDU property owners, developers, and large property management companies.
* Previous sales experience in the MDU market.
The base pay for this position is $40,000-$60,000. This base pay range is reflective of the multiple position levels posted. The actual base pay offered will be determined based on factors such as the level of the position offered, internal equity, geographic location, and the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan. The plan includes a target sales incentive, with the opportunity to earn more than the target compensation for individuals who exceed their sales goals.
Job Levels:
MDU Account Executive - Advanced
* Maintain holistic account management through relationship based selling to large portfolios ensuring alignment and understanding within internal Midco teams of customer build plans in order to achieve maximum success.
* Orchestrate internal cross functional team meetings with construction, engineering, field technicians, sales and others to ensure awareness of customer projects and planning.
* Collaborate within and outside departments to find creative solutions to meet customer needs.
* Possess a thorough understanding of the customer's business and influential ability to sell services and products across an organization
* Minimum 5 years experience in MDU sales required including telecommunications/broadband sales.
MDU Account Executive - Senior
* Identify opportunities and sell advanced technology products and services to new and existing MDU clients.
* Develop and provide sales consultations on technology solutions, including but not limited to: Ethernet and internet bandwidth, optical networking, direct fiber solutions, wireless connectivity, data center/co-location, and telecommunications services.
* 7 or more years of experience in B2B Sales or broadband/telecommunications and MDU sales experience required.
* Must possess a thorough understanding of business networking, including, but not limited to the following: IP routing/switching, VoIP, MPLS, Layer II/III concepts, and telecommunication services.
Work Environment:
* The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
* May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
* Heavy keyboard/mouse usage required with repetitive movements.
* Travel and visit customers as needed.
Physical Demands:
* May occasionally be required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
* Must remain at your desk or workstation for long periods of time.
Mental Demands:
* Analyze property attributes, competitive data, and market conditions to qualify opportunities and tailor solutions for each MDU building or portfolio.
* Exercise sound judgment when prioritizing pipeline activities, balancing prospecting, outreach, presentations, contract negotiations, and retention efforts.
* Interpret and respond to competitive offers using analytical reasoning to craft compelling alternatives.
