Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Dental Operations Director - Family Health Centers at NYU Langone.
In this role, the successful candidate the Senior Dental Operations Director oversees the day-to-day clinical operations of the Family Health Centers dental program across multiple practices and locations. This role is a key member of the dental senior leadership team and partners closely with the Associate Dental Officer to maximize growth and financial performance, drive clinic efficiency, ensure the highest standards of patient care, and fosters a positive, high-performance work culture. Key responsibilities include operational management, strategic planning and execution, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, improving quality and performance initiatives, and aligning dental operations with the organization's goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning & Execution:Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's goals. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and efficiency enhancements.
- Operational Management:Oversee the daily operations of all dental sites, ensuring smooth workflows and resource allocation. This includes managing budgets, visit volumes, schedules, inventory, facilities, and logistics.
- Leadership & Staff Management:Provide direct supervision, coaching, and mentorship to staff and departmental/site managers. Responsibilities include recruiting, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Financial Oversight:Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reports (monthly P&L statements) to ensure profitability and budget adherence. Implement data-driven strategies to improve visit volume and revenue cycles and control expenses.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies and procedures. Partner with the Associate Dental Officer to ensure quality improvement initiatives and performance targets are met.
- Patient Care & Experience:Collaborate with dental clinical leaders to ensure high standards of patient-centered care and satisfaction. Implement strategies to enhance overall patient experience and retention and address patient grievances effectively. Promote the use of and access to dental care for all existing FHC patients.
- Revenue Cycle Management:Collaborate closely with the revenue cycle team to ensure staff and provider compliance with all federal, state, and payor specific billing requirements that lead to correctly billing patients and payors to optimize reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree and a Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, public health, or a multi-location dental setting.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $209,207.96 - $308,582.16 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
