Position Responsibilities
Deltek is in the early stages of a multi-year pricing architecture transformation - modernizing how we price and package our $1B+ SaaS portfolio to better align with the value we deliver to customers. This role sits at the center of that work and will influence pricing architecture decisions across Deltek's SaaS portfolio as we evolve our monetization models to support changing products, markets, and customer expectations.
The pricing transformation has active executive sponsorship and strong cross-functional engagement across Product, Finance, and Sales. You will operate across two workstreams simultaneously: Pricing Architecture & Transformation - developing analytical models, running simulations, and producing the artifacts that drive structural pricing decisions. Pricing Operations & Governance - maintaining the recurring analytical cadence that supports executive pricing reviews, including scorecards, price waterfalls, discount analysis, and competitive intelligence. This is not a reporting role. You will build models, interpret results, form a point of view, and present recommendations to senior leadership. You will work closely with the Director of Strategic Pricing on pricing architecture design, analytical modeling, and executive decision support while collaborating across Product, Finance, Sales, and Technology.
Pricing Architecture & Transformation (~50% initially)
Build and maintain customer-level pricing models that simulate ACV impact under proposed pricing structures across the product portfolio Run and interpret regression and statistical analysis to validate pricing metrics, segmentation approaches, and structural hypotheses Develop impact distribution analysis across the customer base - identifying winner/loser populations, tail risk, and migration cap scenarios Model total-stack pricing scenarios including core products, add-on modules, AI capabilities, and consumption-based components Lead or support pricing metric definition and validation Build customer-facing pricing calculators and conversion tools for sales enablement Prepare analytical artifacts supporting go/no-go decisions on pricing architecture changes Partner with Product and Technology teams on metering infrastructure requirements and billing system readiness
Pricing Operations & Governance (~50% initially, evolving over time)
Build and maintain quarterly pricing scorecards for executive pricing governance council Develop and refresh price waterfall analysis (list-to-invoice-to-pocket) by product line, segment, and channel Monitor pricing performance, discount distribution, and deal-level pricing behavior to identify systemic drift Produce exception reporting supporting deal desk and sales leadership Maintain competitive pricing intelligence across core product categories Support new product and feature pricing with market sizing, willingness-to-pay analysis, and competitive positioning Produce ad hoc pricing analysis for deal desk, product management, and finance teams Track and report on pricing transformation KPIs including adoption rate, band distribution, revenue impact, and migration progress
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance on revenue impact modeling, forecasting, and investor-facing metrics Support Sales Enablement with objection-handling data, reference account analysis, and pricing tool development Work with Product Management to assess pricing implications of roadmap changes, bundle restructuring, and AI feature releases Collaborate with Legal on revenue definition, contract language, and audit/verification mechanisms Support Customer Success with renewal pricing analysis and retention risk identification
