OSP Fiber Inspector - West Texas (West of Dallas, TX) Our client is seeking experienced OSP Fiber Inspectors to support a large-scale fiber optic construction program across West Texas. This role is responsible for ensuring construction quality, compliance with engineering standards, and adherence to safety requirements across active fiber builds. Key Responsibilities * Perform on-site inspections of trenching, plowing, boring, conduit and fiber placement, splicing, and restoration * Validate construction against approved engineering drawings and client standards * Conduct GPS verification of fiber route progress * Document work using photos, redlines, and daily field reports * Track and verify material usage (conduit and fiber sequencing) * Monitor contractor safety practices * Identify and report defects, variances, rework needs, and damages to property or existing facilities Required Experience & Skills * Experience in OSP fiber and telecommunications construction * Experience with underground fiber installation and inspection * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints * Knowledge of OSP standards (NESC / NEC) and quality requirements * Proficiency with field reporting tools, Excel, and Sitetracker * Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality, safety, and documentation This is a field-based role supporting a major fiber infrastructure expansion with long-term project visibility and consistent work across the West Texas region. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vernon, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
