Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace has an opportunity for an on-site Defects Coordinator - Tooling Support in our Plant 4 Thermatech facility in Whitehall, MI! Reporting to the Sales & Supply Chain Manager, this individual will assist with both recurring and non-recurring tooling reviews, while also handling various administrative tasks that support our sales, supply chain, and engineering teams. This position plays an essential part in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in documentation, assist with information management for engineering and supply chain, and customer-related processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all the new tooling inspection and release to production process.
  • Support the In-process tooling inspection system
  • Weekly management of quarantined/suspect tooling.
  • Assist with the maintenance of tooling Inventory tracking system.
  • Support the Input of laboratory test samples and upload serial numbers into relevant systems.
  • Maintain regular communication with supply chain and engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate information flow.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or related administrative environment.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in supply chain, engineering, or business-related field.
  • Ability to accurately manage and maintain records and documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
