Job Description:

The Specialty Product Advisor - FQHC / Primary Care brings deep hands-on experience in community-based care delivery and practice operations to inform and guide product strategy. This role partners closely with product management, design, and development teams to ensure solutions reflect the realities of safety-net, value-driven, and high-volume care environments.
This role engages directly with clinicians, care teams, administrators, and staff to represent the voice of the field and translate FQHC and primary care needs into scalable product capabilities. The advisor serves as a trusted voice to customers and an internal partner, helping shape solutions that support longitudinal, whole-person care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Represent real-world FQHC and primary care delivery models, workflows, and operational practices across community-based and safety-net settings.
  • Engage clinicians, care teams, administrators, and leadership through onsite and virtual engagements.
  • Provide practical insight into workflows including care coordination, population health management, access, and operational constraints.
  • Translate regulatory, operational, and care delivery requirements into clear, actionable guidance for product management, design, and engineering teams.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor during product discovery, validation, and prioritization activities.
  • Lead specialty-focused discussions addressing workflow, compliance, and operational considerations in FQHC and primary care environments.
  • Partner with product teams to guide solutions that support longitudinal, whole-person care delivery.
  • Advocate for scalable solutions that work across diverse community health settings.
  • Support cross-functional alignment by communicating specialty requirements to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Travel to customer and partner sites as needed to support field engagement and product discovery.
  • Perform other duties that support the overall objective of the position.

Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, clinical sciences, healthcare administration, public health, business, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide the required qualifications.

Experience Required

  • Significant hands-on experience in FQHC, community health, or primary care delivery and/or practice operations.
  • Experience engaging directly with providers, care teams, and operational leaders across diverse roles (front office through medical leadership).
  • Experience collaborating with or advising product, design, or technology teams in a healthcare or healthcare SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of community health models, population health, and care delivery challenges in safety-net environments.

License/Certification Required

  • Professional license or certification relevant to primary care or community health (current or prior), where applicable.
  • Product management or healthcare IT certifications are a plus but not required.

Knowledge Of

  • FQHC and primary care workflows, care delivery models, and operational constraints.
  • Regulatory requirements, reporting, and compliance considerations (e.g., UDS, value-based care environments).
  • EHR systems, healthcare SaaS platforms, and configuration-based solutions.
  • Population health, access, and care coordination concepts.

Skill In

  • Communicating complex care delivery and operational concepts within community health settings.
  • Facilitating stakeholder discussions across diverse roles and environments.
  • Translating specialty expertise into product requirements and design considerations.
  • Influencing product decisions through domain expertise and real-world insight.

Ability To

  • Establish trust and credibility with clinicians, administrators, and care teams in community health settings.
  • Engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups across roles and environments.
  • Adapt communication style to mission-driven and operationally complex settings.
  • Work effectively in a cross-functional product environment.
