Job Description




As a Security Officer - Cemetery Patrol Driver in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, completing routine rounds, and staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication and strong customer service while supporting guests, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you may use a vehicle to cover the location as part of a reliable, agile, and integrity-driven Allied Universal team.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests, staff, clergy, volunteers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at cultural institution locations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or facility issues, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, galleries, worship spaces, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify hazards, and report maintenance concerns.
  • Control access at entry points by monitoring visitor flow, checking credentials when required, enforcing prohibited items rules, and assisting with crowd management during services, events, and/or high-traffic periods.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and monitor cameras, alarms, and/or access control systems in accordance with post orders and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
