Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Vice President, US Cross Asset Structured Sales covering Wealth Management.

What will you do?

  • Sales of Cross Asset Structured Securities Notes and OTC derivatives to RBC Wealth Management (RBC WM) clients.

  • Cover and develop relationships with RBC Wealth Management home office and RBC WM advisors

  • Develop new business and onboard new advisors

  • Communicate daily with existing and potential clients to help manage desk flow and find new business

  • Travel to branches and conferences to educate and sell derivative hedging solutions including notes, hedging and monetization strategies, and interest rate hedging

  • Assist with ongoing projects, including pricing, calendar launches, product development, booking, trade reconciliation, and PNL reporting

  • Liaise with outside counsel for ongoing business and to help build out capabilities for future trades

  • Support automation efforts, new application projects, and interfacing with technology platforms

  • Help improve the processes for a more efficient platform and implement automations

  • Proactively identify operational risks and control deficiencies

  • Special projects as required

  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business

  • Review and comply with Standing Orders and Firm Policies applicable to your business activities

  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functionspromptly. Failure to do so may subject you to disciplinary action, up to and including termination

  • Escalate any issue to the relevant entities

What do you need to succeed?

  • Educated to a university degree level

  • Strong financial knowledge background

  • Well developed interpersonal skills

  • Numerically and analytically strong

  • Thorough knowledge of Equity, Commodity, FX, Rates derivatives products

  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering, KYC, KYD procedures

  • Licensing requirement: SIE, 7, 63

The expected salary for this particular position is $225,000 depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
