| Position Description Summary: |
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, seeks full-time academic physicians to join our Division of Primary Care in the Department of Medicine. Join a collaborative and mission-driven team of clinician-educators in downtown Washington, DC. These positions offer a unique opportunity to engage in clinical care and medical education.
These non-tenure-track faculty appointments, expected to start as early as July 2026, will be made at a rank (Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) and salary commensurate with experience. |
| Specific Duties and Responsibilities: |
Responsibilities include providing direct, high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting; engaging in population health management and quality/safety initiatives; participating in administrative duties; and contributing to the teaching and mentorship of medical students, interns, residents, fellows, and other learners. All faculty are encouraged to develop scholarly interests and are expected to collaborate with the larger team to enhance access, reduce costs, improve quality, and promote better health outcomes. Faculty can receive up to 10% protected time for research in the first year. |
| Minimum Qualifications: |
Applicants must be
ABIM-certified or eligible and licensed in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment. Applicants must also have a record of providing high-quality, high-value, evidence-based, and team-oriented patient care, outstanding teaching, and scholarly productivity, with a dedication to professional growth. |
