SUMMARY
The Social Media Senior Coordinator is responsible for executing the New England Revolution's social media strategy to maximize reach, engagement, and audience growth. This role creates and publishes content across all Revolution social platforms, ensuring brand voice consistency and alignment with organizational goals. The social media Lead monitors brand mentions, engages with fans, and elevates sensitive issues to appropriate departments. Additionally, this position serves as a gatekeeper for all posted content, supporting internal initiatives, partnership activations, and multimedia campaigns.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create copy and publish content across all social platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram (Feed, Stories and Reels), TikTok and YouTube.
- Monitor social media trends and optimize content strategies to maximize engagement, reach and growth.
- Capture and edit iPhone content at matches, training sessions, and community events, and ensure all content is properly branded using Photoshop, Premiere Rush, and mobile apps for edits and overlays.
- Serve as a gatekeeper for content that appears on Revolution social channels, watching and reading all content to ensure it fits sponsorship requirements and is up to brand standards to be shared.
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to integrate social media efforts into internal initiatives, including fan engagement, sponsorship, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage the Revolution social media calendar, including sponsorship fulfilment, fan promotions, birthdays, milestones, and campaign planning. Analyze performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Build strong rapport with Revolution players and coaching staff to facilitate content creation.
- Coordinate player transaction announcements and schedule player availability for social content.
- Brainstorm and contribute creative ideas for social activations and organizational projects.
- Monitor brand mentions and engage with fans while mitigating potential risks to brand reputation.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience managing social media platforms for a brand or organization.
- Strong understanding of social platforms and best practices for engagement.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exemplary writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Rush) and mobile editing tools.
- Experience using a camera and shooting photos
- Knowledge of Major League Soccer, the New England Revolution, and Boston sports preferred.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and travel as required.
