Overview

As an Electrical Prefabrication Coordinator, you will be the linchpin of a powerhouse team, collaborating with VDC designers, field and shop foremen and leads, electricians, superintendents, and project managers to drive seamless workflow from initial design to final assembly. Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the Electrical Prefabrication Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:



  • Collaborate with the project design teams to plan, setup and monitor prefabrication work executed within the prefabrication facility.
  • Independently perform the following:

    • Create and maintain work orders in Egan's work order management software
    • Monitor and update Egan's work order scheduling tool according to project schedule requirements and changes
    • Schedule, attend, and advise during regular prefabrication status review meetings with project managers, field leaders, and prefabrication designers (primarily virtual)
    • Receive and send phone, text, and email communications from Egan's field personnel and provide up-to-date information between the field and prefabrication teams
    • Assist with generalized office administrative tasks
    • Organize on-site and off-site events for shop and office personnel as directed by the electrical prefabrication supervisor
    • Assist with procurement functions of the prefabrication shop
    • Assist with orientation of newly-hired shop employees
    • Construct presentations and spreadsheets to support team initiatives and project requirements
    • Maintain regular communication with the shop foremen to stay current on shop operations and project progress
    • Keep project managers, superintendents, and field leaders informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.
    • Assist with administrative tasks relating to shipping and receiving as needed
    • Understand and advise on technology platforms used for design, assembly, and logistics


  • Promote a positive safety culture by following Egan's safety policies.
  • Perform additional duties and assignments as requested/assigned
  • Build strong internal partnerships, work collaboratively with other Egan groups to support Egan's Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Occasional travel to job sites for meetings with field leaders, site verification and job site meetings.


Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of practical experience working in the construction or manufacturing field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Qualifications

  • General knowledge of all phases of a project, the required documentation, and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable with construction administration tasks like schedules, RFIs, punch-lists, etc.
  • Working knowledge in scheduling tools such as MS Project
  • General knowledge in operational tools (ERP, WMS, QMS, etc.)
  • General knowledge of local/State/Federal buildings, electrical and energy codes, and standards.
  • Strong working knowledge in the use of standard office computer programs such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrable organizational skills and able to perform tasks on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Courteous, professional, diplomatic and highly motivated.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and methods.


Qualifications

  • Primarily working in an office setting with some work conducted in the shop.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to loud noise, dirt, and exposure to the elements are to be expected on job sites.
  • Climbing ladders/stairs, uneven ground, bending, kneeling, and twisting are to be expected on job sites.

Salary Range: $70,000-$95,000 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
