Job Summary Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution is seeking a Seasonal Retail Associate to work approximately 25 hours per week from April through September 2026 at our two WHOI store locations in Woods Hole, MA.In this role, the Seasonal Retail Associate will support day-to-day store operations, helping to ensure both locations run smoothly. This position is a temporary (seasonal), casual, non-exempt position, and is eligible for casual benefits. Weekly hours may vary based on business volume and store needs. Additional Job Requirements This role may involve physical activities such as lifting and carrying items up to 25-30 pounds, as well as extended periods of standing or walking. Additional tasks may include kneeling, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching above or below shoulder level, along with the use of hands for both basic and fine motor tasks. The position may also require visual abilities (including close, distance, and peripheral vision, and the ability to distinguish basic colors), as well as communication and collaboration with others in a shared workspace. Some exposure to dust or other minor irritants may occur. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this role.---------------------------------------------- Hourly Rate: $16.31-20.90 per hour
The hourly rate provided for this position reflects the set base pay for new hires.
Annual compensation will be based on this hourly rate and the number of hours worked, in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws. In addition to hourly pay, eligible employees may also receive a casual benefits package.
