Responsibilities
The Treasury Analyst is responsible for supporting day-to-day Corporate Treasury activities across a broad range of functions, including cash positioning, liquidity and funding support, balance sheet and portfolio analytics, and management reporting. The role partners closely with internal stakeholders to provide timely, accurate data and insights, supports operational and control requirements, and contributes to process improvement and automation initiatives that strengthen efficiency and reduce operational risk. This position offers a strong learning experience and exposure to core treasury disciplines-liquidity management, funding, investments, risk management, reporting, and treasury operations-building a well-rounded foundation for growth within Corporate Treasury and providing a great opportunity to grow your career within a growing team.
Monitor and reconcile daily cash movements while identifying and attributing the underlying drivers influencing cash position, collateral requirements, and settlement activity.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc treasury reports, including liquidity, funding, deposit, loan, and investment insights.
- Automate reporting-individually and / or in coordination with the Data Analytics team-using SQL, Python, or other tools to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Provide transactional data, pricing, statements, and analytics across the bank.
- Produce monthly rate-volume (RVA) analysis and other performance reporting used by leadership.
- Analyze deposit trends, pricing, betas, and customer behavior to support funding decisions.
- Provide loan portfolio insights such as coupon distribution, fixed/floating mix, and reset schedules.
- Leverage external data sources such as Capital IQ and regulatory filings for peer and market analysis, and develop PowerPoint presentations for senior management highlighting findings and recommendations.
- Support investment purchases, sales, and borrowing activities with accurate documentation.
- Support regulatory reporting, audits, and SOX control requirements with complete workpapers.
- Initiate and verify daily cash transfers, wires, and collateral movements as needed
- Serve as backup or primary operator for Treasury Operations when key personnel are unavailable
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities within treasury workflows Support regulatory reporting and examinations, internal audit, external audit and SOX controls and reporting
- Continually evaluate the effectiveness of operational procedures and controls to maximize departmental productivity and minimize errors through automation of existing processes
- Support the Corporate Treasury function in providing data and reports for senior leadership, various committees, and external audits / examinations including monthly preparation of regulatory ratios.
- Provides ad-hoc data analytics, research, and reporting for the senior management as needed.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, Asset Liability Management, Corporate Finance, or related analytical role, preferably in a financial institution.
- Understanding of financial statements, especially cash flow, balance sheet structure, and funding dynamics.
- Selfstarter with the ability to work independently, proactively identify issues, and drive tasks to completion.
- Working knowledge of MS Office; advance working knowledge of Excel
Preferences:
- Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) in Finance, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, BI Tools or similar analytical tools for data manipulation and data visualization querying capabilities
