Location: Olathe, KS 66061

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am - 5 pm - Schedules are subject to change with business needs.

Job Summary:

This is an Operations position responsible for performing clerical duties within the Transportation department, including maintaining all regulatory compliance as required by the Department of Transportation.

General Responsibilities:

  • Organize the customers' orders
  • Greeting the customers and verify ID
  • Provide the cases, scanning each case provided
  • Ensure proper signatures on paperwork or handheld
  • Return process code in the handheld any orders not picked up at end of day
  • Stage for returns shuttles.
  • Communicate to KC DCI any orders not picked up
  • Gather, organize and process driver daily paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
  • Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
  • Research short on truck that drivers call in.
  • Respond to delivery associate issue and provide support for resolution.
  • Create Driver Qualification files as needed and maintain all required documents in Supervision as required under Department of Transportation guidelines, i.e. driver's license status, Medical Examination Cards, Certificate of Violations, monitor MVR status, etc.
  • Monitor and review all driver logs and violations through the onboard computer system, Telogis.
  • Run daily reports for transportation supervisors, i.e. Observations, Vehicle Tracking, etc.
  • Daily monitoring of Drive Cam Events and processing them for coaching and signatures.
  • Research operation challenges, order supplies, liaison between office and operations.
  • Process inbound freight paperwork weekly.
  • Primary contact for any inbound freight issues.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervision or management.


Experience & Education:

  • 0-3 Years of Experience.
  • Requirements include a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent, ability to read, write, and understand English, basic arithmetic skills, good physical stamina and conditioning.
  • The ability to learn to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
