The Office of the Registrar is seeking a specified-term Registrar Services Specialist to support the success of the Registrar Service Center. This role provides frontline service to students, families, faculty and staff, and the general public. Responsibilities include delivering accurate information related to enrollment, registration, and student academic records, requiring advanced knowledge and sound judgment. The position operates in a fastpaced environment and requires the ability to shift between varying duties, escalate complex inquiries appropriately, and provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions. The Specialist also ensures the confidentiality and security of student records in accordance with institutional policies and FERPA regulations. This is a 100% specified-term position with full benefits for a one year appointment. In this role, you will: - Apply expertise to resolve complex issues regarding registration processes, academic deadlines, as well as tuition and fees. - May provide support to student staff through training, access to resources, and assistance with questions. - Utilize MAUI and MyUI to troubleshoot issues; process registration changes, transcript orders, and enrollment verification requests; update student demographics; and update student notes when necessary. - Supervise and lead student employees in the Registrar Service Center - And More! Qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. - 6 months-1-year related experience in an administrative and/or academic setting, including experience providing excellent customer service in a complex operational environment. - Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, including experience providing excellent customer service utilizing both written and verbal communication. - Demonstrated ability to create, maintain, retrieve and archive electronic and procedural documents. - Demonstrates ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret information and needs of individuals and groups from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications of Word and Excel. Desired Desirable Qualifications - Demonstrates an understanding of FERPA and/or other university and federal regulatory rules, policies and laws related to confidentiality of information. - Proficiency with MAUI or other student records system or product (i.e. Banner, PeopleSoft). * - Proficiency with Microsoft Access or other similar database programs. Schedule:The Office of the Registrar is open Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Work Modality:This position is primarily on-campus but may be eligible for some flexibility and remote work (i.e., over academic calendar break times and ad hoc) in alignment with dept policies and practices. Anticipated Salary Range: $45,000 - $47,000 with benefits About the Role:This is a 100% specified-term position with full benefits for a one-year appointment. The role is being filled through a temporary specified term process to support immediate operational needs. At the conclusion of the term, the position may be opened as a regular full time role through a formal, competitive recruitment process.
