Reports to Lumberton, NJ office 3 days per week (Tue/Wed/Thu)
Customer Service / Sales / Product Management / Technical Applications Intern - Summer 2026
Objectives and Goals:
Industry Understanding: Gain an in-depth understanding of the military aerospace sector and the role of electronic interconnect products. Attend team meetings and industry-specific trainings across Sales, Product Management, and Technical Applications.

Customer Engagement:
- Assist in managing customer inquiries and provide support in resolving issues.
- Shadow senior team members in customer meetings or calls to understand customer relations and sales tactics.
- Support our Customer Care Coordinator with RMA processing.
Market Research: Undertake research on customer market trends within the military, aerospace, and naval sectors. Leverage pivot tables and AI tools to analyze and interpret sales and product data effectively. Prepare a report summarizing findings and suggesting potential sales or product strategies.

Sales Support: Learn about the company's product offerings, value proposition, and pricing strategies. Participate in sales strategy "war room" sessions and provide input based on research. Assist the Business Development Team in qualifying new customers and supporting CRM data entry.

Evaluation:
- Performance will be evaluated based on the successful completion of set objectives, quality of work, ability to learn and adapt, and overall contribution to the team.
Cross-Functional Departmental Exposure: Product Management: Assist in product lifecycle tasks such as pricing strategy discussions, product line reviews, and competitive benchmarking. Technical Applications: Shadow the applications engineering team on basic product suitability discussions and support documentation creation. Attend project syncs and customer application review meetings to observe how technical and commercial strategies align.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Currently enrolled in a 1st or 2nd year of a bachelor's program in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
Coursework or interest in business, sales, customer service, or technical applications is preferred.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- To perform the position, you must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR. ITAR defines a US Person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (I.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and customers.
Basic understanding of sales principles, customer service, and market research.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and chart creation.
Interest in Sales, Customer Engagement, Product Management, or Technical Applications is a plus.
Curiosity and eagerness to learn about the military, aerospace, and defense electronics industries.
Ability to analyze data, summarize findings, and prepare presentations for internal teams and management.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently on small projects or cross-functional assignments.
Additional Qualifications:
Willingness to shadow senior team members, participate in meetings, and take on projects across multiple departments.
Ability to synthesize research and market insights to contribute to departmental strategies.
Professionalism and openness to mentorship and coaching from assigned supervisors.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers.
