Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Product Support Software Principal supporting the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division(AFLCMC/HNC), which is within the Cyber and Networks Directorate (AFLCMC/HN), and located at Lackland AFB, TX.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Contractor shall perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering and product support to include but not be limited to reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation, planning, requirements, design, support, and test to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.
  • Within an agile and secure cloud-basedDevSecOpsenvironment, lead the innovation and evolution of Cyber Operations products using a data-based decision and prioritization protocol.
  • Ensure that sustainment capabilities evolve at a pace that matches that of the solutions they support.
  • Experience with andcognizantknowledge of strategies employing the following service model types: Platform-as-a-Service (PasS), Infrastructure as- a-Service (IaaS), Software as-a-Service (SaaS), and Hardware-as-a-Service.
  • Experience coaching cross-functionally diverse teams to exercise continuous foresight to sense, characterize, and solve digital disrupters in the commercial and threat space before they become mission degraders.
  • Experience within an agile and secure cloud-basedDevSecOpsenvironment, lead the innovation and evolution of Cyber Operations products using a data-based decision and prioritization protocol.
  • Experience ensuring that a mission-focused balance ismaintainedbetween time and resourcesallocatedto the introduction of new capabilities (innovation) and improvement of existing capabilities (evolution).
  • Experiencemaintainingflexibility to accommodate ever-shifting threats and mission profiles in aligning product development priorities by consistently and accurately weighing the criticality of discrete development tasks against the time and resources available to execute those tasks.
  • Experience defining and ensuring cross-checks of data sources tovalidatethe scope and urgency of new or improved product capabilities, amongst a fluid threat landscape and rapidly advancing technologies.
  • Experience ensuring organizational resiliency in the face of these challenges byexhibitinga proactive and collaborative mindset, ensuring that key processes are documented in a composable manner andmaintainedrelevant, and by exploiting the advantages and compensating for the disadvantages of the modern hybrid digital work environment.
  • Knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase.
  • Extensive experience with defense acquisition management processesin accordance withthe DoDI 5000.87, "Operation of the Software Acquisition Pathway"
  • Knowledge of the DoD's Twelve (12) Integrated Product Support elements structure.
  • Familiarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) and the tailored Software Life Cycle Support processes.
  • Develops,modifies, and/or interprets performance standards applicable within short product planning lifecycles.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • BachelorsDegree inScience, Engineering or related degree preferred or related experience
