Roll Off Driver and Heavy Equipment Operator- Longview, WA

Waste Control, a Waste Connections Company, is looking to hire aCDL A Or B, Roll Off/Drop Box Driver/ Heavy Equipment Operatorto join the team in Longview, Washington. Previous waste experience would be a hugeplus!

The Schedule will be 4 Days on, 3 Days Off, 3 Days On, and 4 Days offWednesday-SaturdayStarting at 4:00pm-3:00am (With Overtime Often, Shift are 11-12 Hours)

Rate of pay is $34.21/HR.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• In this position you will be operating a Roll off truck on a specified route to Deliver and Pickup up Drop Boxes from the local Mills.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission.
• Operate Front End Loader, and Excavator. (Or ability to learn Heavy Equipment Operation.)
• Ability to read route tablet and service each customer identified on the Route Tablet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Prepare Next Days Drop Boxes for incoming Shift.
• Moving Drop Boxes Around Mill Site Safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine Pre Trip and Post Trip inspection on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required objects over 50 pounds.
• Operating Truck to Deliver Roll Off Box and Pick up Roll Off Boxes.
• Operating Heavy equipment such as Front-end Loader and Excavator Safely.
• The work environment involves some exposure to physical risks, such as moving mechanical parts, which require following basic safety precautions.
• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Valid Class A OR B CDL with air brakes endorsement. Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate, and Manual Transmission.
• Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English.
• Basic knowledge of truck components to complete DOT pre-and post-trip inspections.
