Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world. In the role of Right of Way Section Lead, we'll count on you to:
- Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
- May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
- Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
- Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews
- Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues
- Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
- Implement, monitor and support company policy
- Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel
- Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert and provide guidance on contract and delivery-related risk management in coordination with area business group leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local Right of Way requirements, including URA and agencyspecific guidelines.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project implementation, supporting teams with issue resolution and timely decisionmaking.
- Collaborate with project managers, practice leads, and business groups to identify worksharing opportunities and optimize resource utilization.
- Coordinate and manage consistent quality standards, documentation practices, and Right of Way methodologies across the Business Class.
- Promote consistent use of HDR's digital tools and systems to enhance data tracking, reporting, and transparency.
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of experience with right of way services including acquisition, appraisal, property management and relocation.
- Real Estate license or Broker license (or ability to obtain within 3 months if required).
- Familiarity with public project ROW rules and regulations related to acquisition.
- Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to effectively collaborate with team members and property owners on complex, scheduledriven projects.
- Ability to motivate and manage staff across multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong decisionmaking and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- Good leadership and organizational skills
