Department OverviewSoftware Upgrade Operations team is committed to providing the Motorola Solutions Public safety customers the best possible experience while ensuring all upgrade activities are done correctly and promptly. The team is responsible for planning and executing software upgrades for PremiereOne CAD, Records and Mobile. The team works closely with CMSO, SI deployment and other Implementation teams to support Upgrades, deployments and customer hardware refresh. Job Description

The Senior Project Manager will manage the end-to-end upgrade and implementation of software products, specifically focusing on Premier One systems. This role coordinates between engineering teams, field resources, and customers to ensure all activities are scheduled and executed to the customer's satisfaction. Success in this position requires high-level organization, the ability to manage cross-functional teams, and the communication skills necessary to navigate high-security environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the upgrade and implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services.

  • Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services.

  • Manages projects from inception to completion.

  • Ensures that projects are completed on time and to customers satisfaction. Participates in project review and status meetings, and communicates project status.

  • Motivates project team to ensure optimal performance.

  • Assist or drive the development project plans, strategies, and approaches to insure successful upgrade project deliveries

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Project Management, specifically managing software upgrades, schedules, and budgets.

  • Strong familiarity with Premier One systems and Motorola Solutions products.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective customer engagement.

  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, ServiceNow (Sno), and Google Workspace.

  • Ability to pass a stringent CJIS fingerprint-based background check for access to high-security areas.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% as required by project needs.

Target Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements
  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Experience with Motorola PremiereOne products a plus

  • Capable of obtaining security clearance for onsite customer upgrades

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
