The Assistant Director serves as a vital member of our Events team-a collaborative, mission-driven, donor- and sponsor-focused group of professionals who are committed to delivering best-in-class events through a spirit of teamwork and support. The Assistant Director contributes, in part, to the successful execution of 100+ annual events that unite and celebrate our vibrant donor community and raise $20M+ annually to support the mission of Mass General Brigham. The Assistant Director is critical in supporting the planning and execution of a variety of events, managing smaller-scale events independently while assisting with larger event portfolios.
*Serve as event lead for MGB's efforts with the Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) 10K. oOversee participant fundraising efforts to meet or exceed annual event fundraising goals. oServe as the primary liaison with the B.A.A. for this event. oCoordinate closely with the communications team to recruit, support, and steward MGB's team of more than 500 runners. *Serve in a key planning and fundraising role for the Mass General Brigham Eversource Cancer 5K Run-Walk, working closely with past and current participants to cultivate and grow top fundraisers, encourage participants to reach All-Star and Champion status, and support on-site logistics to ensure a successful VIP experience. *Contribute to the overall success of the Community Fundraising portfolio (donor-lead fundraising events), managing a portfolio of events to expand MGB's fundraising community, strengthen volunteer partnerships, and drive revenue growth. oPartner closely with volunteer event organizers to ensure they have the tools, resources, and guidance needed to maximize participation and fundraising outcomes. oCollaborate with faculty, staff, and clinicians to promote the Community Fundraising program to patients, families, and supporters, helping to expand awareness and engagement across the hospital community. *Support other Athletic Fundraising Events and Community Fundraising initiatives as assigned. Bachelor's degree required and 3-5 years of related experience. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following skills, abilities and competencies:
