The role involves advancing state-of-the-art, high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics simulations (CFD) for accurate prediction of combustion dynamics and emissions in next-generation gas turbine combustion systems operating with gaseous and liquid fuels.

* Develop, implement, and validate CFD models for complex reacting flows in gas turbine combustors for gaseous and liquid fuels

* Perform RANS and LES simulations using advanced combustion modeling approaches

* Evaluate detailed and reduced chemical kinetics mechanisms

* Execute large-scale simulations on CPU and GPU-based HPC clusters

* Analyze results, generate technical reports, and deliver project outcomes on schedule

* Prepare scientific reports and publish in conferences and peer-reviewed journals.

Minimum Qualifications:

* PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

* Strong background in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, turbulence, CFD, numerical methods, and turbulent combustion.

* Proficiency in HPC environments (parallel computing on CPU/GPU systems)

* Demonstrated publication record in reputable journals/conferences

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with STAR-CCM+, CONVERGE CFD, ANSYS Fluent, or similar CFD solvers

* Experience with advanced combustion modeling approaches (e.g., flamelet methods, detailed finite-rate chemistry)

* Experience in modeling and simulation of turbulent reacting flows in complex industrial combustion systems (gaseous and/or liquid fuels)
