Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages subordinates in the HR group through the HR Manager. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Education and Experience: 4-year college degree, preferably in Human Resources Management or commensurate experience required. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in the use of a personal computer. 10+ years experience in Human Resources and 7-10 years of management experience is preferred. Experience in developing and implementing global recruitment strategies a plus. SHRM or HRCI professional certification desired. Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches, articles, and proposals using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to employee groups, top management, and public groups. Language Skills: Foreign language skills are a plus. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully a candidate should have an expert level of understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel. Experience with all Microsoft Office components are key. An understanding of Canva is helpful. Experience with WorkDay is beneficial. Travel: Must be willing to travel as needed. Travel is typically limited to 10% or less.
