| Position Purpose |
The
Assistant Undergraduate Dean of Case Management provides direct support and coordination of support services for undergraduate students experiencing significant challenges related to academic, mental health, physical health, conduct, substance, and/or social issues. Grounded in the holistic student advising perspective of the Undergraduate Deans Office, the Assistant Undergraduate Dean of Case Management serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between the student, campus colleagues, and family members to ensure that these students receive the supports they need to succeed. |

- Three years relevant work experience
- Proven record of effectiveness in student advising, addressing needs of students from underrepresented backgrounds and support programs that promote student success.
- Proven record of successful experience responding to individual and community-based crises with a high level of discretion and experience with student privacy/confidentiality, including FERPA.
- Outstanding organizational skills, problem-solving, proficiency in teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and strong communication to multiple audiences.
- Solid foundation in student developmental theory and its application to professional practice in student affairs.
- Experience with on-call responsibilities, student crisis management or equivalent experience.

- Master's Degree in higher education administration, student development and leadership, student personnel or related field with five years relevant work experience.

Student Counseling/Advising
- Facilitates and coordinates student support and advising needs for students experiencing significant academic, personal, and health challenges.
- Liaises with the clinical case manager on physical health and mental health student needs.

Administration
- Manages the Dean-on-Call system, which provides 24/7 after-hours support to undergraduate students.
- Develops and implements termly training of staff, maintains the schedule, and collaborates with those serving in the on-call rotation to refine and improve the on-call system.
- Provides the necessary administration oversight to document the case management portfolio and maintain compliance with college policies and procedures.

Consultation/Representation
- Collaborates with campus partners in the Undergraduate Deans Office, Residential Life, Athletics, Title IX, Community Standards & Accountability, Student Accessibility Services, and others to stay abreast of and share information regarding student situations that may warrant intervention.
- Facilitates for the resolution of student needs.
