Job Summary

Manage a large team or a group of small teams that develop, implement and support new/existing software applications and hardware platforms. Work with user groups to ensure operational stability and that applications meet the practical needs of the company.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Builds relationship with key user and operations groups to identify and resolve business issues.
  • Manages and provides technical and business direction that affects capacity planning, new applications, data
  • security and LAN systems.
  • Manages and tracks the progress of multiple development projects to include administration, work plans,
  • resource planning and control, status reports, and budgeting. Conduct regular project reviews.
  • Resolves information services problems by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate course of
  • action, providing tactical direction and reallocating resources as necessary.
  • Conducts financial analyses to support strategic planning on system purchases, upgrades and reclamation.
  • Negotiates favorable prices with vendors.
  • Communicates status of activities with the team, peers, management and end-users.
  • Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience leading data integration and/or enterprise development teams in a formal IT environment.
  • Understanding of data integration patterns, API-led connectivity, and microservice architecture.
  • Prior hands-on experience in a technical role such as developer, solution architect, business systems analyst, product owner, or technical project/program manager, with the ability to understand and guide solution design.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance multiple initiatives while aligning work to business impact and stakeholder needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing a remote team, including both onshore and offshore resources. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide developers, business system analysts, and QA resources.
  • Solid working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the full software development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement, delivery quality, and data-informed decision-making
