SUMMARY

Perform a variety of millwork, cabinetry, construction and restoration in any of (30) county locations including the Courthouse and Human Services Center. The incumbent will perform all assignments, as designated by supervisor.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • All types of carpentry
  • Millwork - rough framing and finishing of cabinetry
  • Roofing of all types (slate, cedar and asphalt)
  • Tile.
  • Marble
  • Granite
  • Windows
  • Doors
  • Steel studs and drywall
  • Acoustical ceilings
  • All types of masonry - concrete work, stucco, stone and plaster
  • Painting
  • Snow emergencies will require mandatory overtime hours.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Experience in masonry, concrete and other related materials including steel studs drywall and traditional plastering.
  • Experience in coatings/painting and other finishes with skills in and knowledge of proper preparation and application.
  • Valid/ Current PA Driver's License.
  • Ability to read architectural drawings.
  • Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of machinery found in a typical cabinet-workshop.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical work.
  • High School Diploma or GED/additional training in cabinet-making, millwork and carpentry.
  • Ability to cooperate and work under the direction of the Public Property Director.
