Job Description




As a Security Officer Dispatch Coordinator in Ashburn, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic financial institution location. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, communicate with on-site teams, and help maintain smooth daily operations. Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, cameras, and/or other communication systems to receive calls for service and relay information to on-site personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations by dispatching the appropriate personnel, communicating updates, and helping to coordinate security-related response activities.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, documenting calls, actions taken, and follow-up information according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, while remaining prepared to support dispatch operations and changing site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' Security Supervisor/Manager experience OR 3+ years' Security experience.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Required Qualifications: 2 years of Physical Security Experience and Ability to speak,read, and write the English language fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced Computer skills and proficiency; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications
  • Proficiently skilled in the use of technology such as a desktop computer and mobile applications to document activities and tasks
  • Ability to prioritize workload based on urgency
  • Ability to quickly and efficiently analyse high stress situations to determine the proper communication of events and to dispatch the proper teams to determine the best course of action to take
