Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Specialist in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access activities, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with the public and staff. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidance, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas to help support authorized access, observe site activity, and follow post orders related to government operations and public-facing services.
  • Assist with incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following Allied Universal standards and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
