The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

TheManufacturing Engineerpositionis responsible forworking with the various manufacturing managers in developing and implementing world class manufacturing through more efficient and effective methods of producing products and processes, focusing on safety, quality,efficiencyand agility through process improvements. They will define and specify the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for testing, and evaluate the product toestablishedstandards. This role will also act as a liaison between operations and engineering to ensure consistent performance and development of new products.

What You'll Do:

• Evaluate existing processes and implement new processes techniques to improve product flow, part quality and first pass yields to reduce product cost and lead time.
• Creates/Revises part instructions and routings and trains production personnel on use, set-up, maintenance, and trouble-shooting process.
• Works with production personnel toattain100% on-time shipping performance byeliminatingquality issues, design issues, improving capacityonbottle-neckprocessesand providing continuous support.
• Initiates and leads lean-sigma projects on key business processes to influence customer satisfaction, waste elimination, total product lead time reduction, costeffectivenessand product/system quality.
• Promotes and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value-added activities.
• Develops ROI data for equipment replacement or addition and coordinates design, purchase or construction, and implementation with emphasis on design of fixtures.
• Developsassembly techniques,proceduresand manufacturing cost reduction plans.
• Participatesin 6S and Kaizen activities in all assigned manufacturing areas. Adheres to companyestablishedsafety practices and promptlyreportspotential hazards.
• Authors and/or reviews Standard Operating Process, work instructions, test specifications, and other documents for accuracy.
• Participates as a team member on New Product Development Teams and analyzes the result of validation and qualification protocols for products, processes, and equipment and work through Release to Manufacturing process to release only capableprocessto production.
• Develops andmaintainsaudit functions (product, process, and operating system) ensuring quality systems and products are consistent with internal documentation, standards, and customer requirements.
• Evaluate facility design andworkswith Manufacturing and Efficiency Managers to review and adjust layout tooptimizemaximum output.
• Ensures feedback and corrective action communication and implementation is consistent with customer expectations.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• Bachelor's degree inMechanicalEngineering, Manufacturing Engineering, IndustrialEngineeringor highly related fieldtechnicaldiploma a plus.
• Good visual ability to detest quality defects.
• Lean Manufacturing Certification or experience.
• Experience creating routings, work instructions, ECR/ECO process.
• Strong SAP or other equivalent ERP (Oracle, PeopleSoft) system experience.
• Experience with control systems documentation.
• Excellent written & verbal skills.
• IntermediateExcel skills; modeling, pivot tables, v-lookup, macros.

• Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
